NuriFlex's board member met Paraguay's government
delegation at its headquarters on August 22, including Paraguay's Minister of
Trade, Industry and Energy (MIC) Javier Giménez and Deputy Energy Minister Mauricio
Bejarano.
Visiting the NuriFlex Naju Manufacturing
Center, the Paraguay delegation had a conversation with management at the
Seocho headquarters.
On this day, NuriFlex introduced intelligent
meter-reading infrastructure solutions, including professionals.
Han Jeong-hoon, CEO of the company,
"I would like to thank the Paraguay
government delegation, including Industry Minister Javier Giménez, for visiting
NuriFlex despite his busy schedule," he said.
"I hope today's visit will serve as an
opportunity to expand and develop the cooperative relationship between NuriFlex
and Paraguay," he said.
Industry Minister Javier Giménez said during a
visit to NuriFlex headquarters.
"The Paraguay government is very
interested in smart metering (AMI) deployment projects, and we understand that
NuriFlex has a track record of building AMIs in 49 companies in the global
market. In addition, setting up production plants in Paraguay will be a
competitive factor when entering the Latin American market as well as
Paraguay."
NuriFlex held the opening ceremony of a
production plant in Paraguay in Mariano City in July, pioneering the overseas
market of Paraguay's flagship business, AMI, as a base for entry into Latin
America. In 2007, it is working with the Korea Electric Power Corporation to
promote a pilot project of the power intelligent metered infrastructure
solution (AMI) system for power customers of Paraguay's state-run power company
(ANDE).
In the future, NuriFlex is actively targeting
overseas markets such as Africa and Latin America with various AMI solutions
and energy efficiency solutions.
